Cartier Santos Carrée 2961

One of the most sought after variations of the iconic Cartier Santos, available now at Ten Past Ten! This fine example is called the Carrée, referring to its sharper form compared to its brother: the Galbée. An icon of the 80’s for sure, and your unique chance to pick it up at a very competitive price point. What makes this piece special is the Burgundy dial and red sapphire crown on the right. A unique configuration becoming harder and harder to find in this condition. The dial is showing absolutely zero imperfections. These are usually cracked all over, but this dial looks like it just left the factory. The case and bracelet ofcourse have some marks, but this only ads to the vintage character of this piece. The bracelet is also something worth mentioning. This is not your ordinary 2-screw bracelet as seen on most Santos models, but this is the rarer ‘Godron bracelet’. Each to his own, but I think it only adds to its uniqueness.
